UPDATE: At Least 8 Candidates Secure Ballot Spots for Council Race; Filing Period Extended
Eight people, as of early Friday afternoon, have qualified to appear on the ballot for San Clemente’s City Council race this November. The deadline for prospective candidates to take out, circulate, and file petition papers to be considered for the ballot is expected to be extended to 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 17.
